rehearsals

Bookings of any period shorter than 3 days must be cancelled with a minimum of 72 hours notice prior to the start of the session.

Bookings of 3 lockout days or longer require a 50% deposit and must be cancelled with a minimum of 14 days notice (unless otherwise stated). Premises Studios Ltd reserves the right to increase the notice period in conversation with the client when making a booking.

Cancellation fees apply to the cost of the room hire and does not include backline. Fees shall not be reduced on account of the client’s failure to use the studio for any or all of the period of the booking.
recording

Recording studio bookings are subject to a 10-day cancellation policy.

Invoices are payable in full in the event of a late cancellation.

Fees shall not be reduced on account of the clients failure to use the studio for any or all of the period of the booking.

EXTENDED TERMS detailed below
workshops & courses

By paying a deposit and securing your place on a Course, you are committing to attend the Course for its full duration, and are liable to pay the full Course fees.

We are happy to accept cancellations (with a full refund) up to four weeks before the start of a course you are booked on. Cancellation notice must be in writing by email to: michele@premiseseducation.org

If you need to cancel less than four weeks before the course, we will do our best to find a replacement and, if we succeed, the balance of your fee will be returned less a £50 reservation charge. If we are unable to find a replacement, we reserve the right to retain the full fee.

In the rare circumstance where we may need to cancel a Course, we will provide you with as much advance notice as possible and will either offer you an alternative Course of the same standing or return all fees paid, but shall not be liable for travel or other costs.
client responsibility

When a booking is made, the client acknowledges and agrees that they, or their designated representatives, are responsible for ensuring that the studio is suitable for the client's intended purpose.

Furthermore, the client affirms that their equipment will be in good working condition and compatible with the studio.

Any issues or damage arising from the use of the client's personal equipment will be solely the responsibility of the client and may incur associated charges

By agreeing to a studio booking, the individual initiating the reservation agrees to assume responsibility for settling any invoice connected to the booking. This responsibility remains regardless of whether they choose to designate a third party for invoicing.
theft & damages

The client holds liability for any damages or theft that occur, or that can be ascribed to them, whether before, during, or after their session. It should be noted that The Premises Music Education Programme, its staff, or Directors will not bear responsibility for the theft, loss, or damage of the client's personal equipment and belongings at any point during or after the rental period.
donations
When making a donation:

You confirm that the payment method you use is your own and that you have authorization to use it.

All donations are voluntary and non-refundable, except in cases of proven technical error or fraud.

We may use third-party payment processors, and their terms may also apply.
course & workshop participation
If you register for any course, workshop, or event:

You agree to follow any rules or instructions provided by staff.

You accept that event schedules or content may change at short notice.

We reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone who acts in a disruptive, unsafe, or abusive manner.
Some events may involve photography, video, or audio recordings. You will be informed if media is being captured, and consent will be requested where legally required.
extended terms - recording
masters
-
The client's access to the masters and session data materials is granted immediately upon settling The Premises Music Education Programme's invoice(s) linked to the session or any outstanding dues prior to the session.
backups & storage

At the conclusion of a recording session, data and materials shall be held by The Premises Music Education Programme for 10 days solely at the risk of the client.

After 10 days from the end of a session, the client shall be liable for such reasonable charges as the Premises may raise against the client for the continued storage of the materials.

The Premises Music Education Programme is at no time responsible for the storage of session data or masters. The Premises Music Education Programme shall be entitled to dispose of masters and session data if agreed with the client that they do not wish to have their session stored or backed-up.

It is strongly advised that the client supplies a portable HD storage device as an alternative to temporary storage.
client responsibility

Upon making a booking, the client acknowledges their obligation to ensure the suitability of the studio for their purpose.

The client also confirms that their equipment will be in good working order and compatible with the studio.

Any issues or damage stemming from the use of the client's partially recorded media, including virus-related issues, are the client's sole responsibility, and the client will assume liability for any related costs/repairs.
breakdown

In the event of studio breakdown or equipment failure, The Premises Music Education Programme will endeavor to replace the lost equipment entitled to the client under the terms stated herein. Alternatively, a credit or refund of the booking fee relevant to the session will be issued.

It is important to note that The Premises Music Education Programme shall not bear any additional obligations or liabilities beyond these proposed resolutions.
